A Simple Geometry Method for Analyzing Angle Relationship of Fault-Bend Fold Model

摘要: 通过对断层转折褶皱Suppe模型角度关系的深入分析, 提出一种应用圆周和三角形来进行褶皱变形的几何图解方法, 论证了该几何作图方法的合理性和准确性。分别就实际应用中4种主要常见情况, 即已知半翼间角γ和断层切层角θ、已知半翼间角γ和前翼倾角β、已知断层切层角θ和前翼倾角β以及已知断层切层角θ和断层转折角φ情况下的几何构图方法进行了阐述。通过应用实例和结果对比分析, 表明该方法具有成图过程简单而结果准确的特点, 可提高建模的准确性, 具有很好的应用效果。

Abstract: By analyzing on the geometry of fault-bend fold and the quantitative, a new geometry method is put forword for analyzing the angle relationship of fault-bend fold with circle and triangle. Considering on four common situations, including case of γ and θ are known, case of γ and β are known, case of θ and β are known, and case of θ and φ are known, the authors demonstrate their corresponding geometric construction method. Being used in an example and compared with the result of other methods, it shows that our geometry method is with the characteristic of easy construction and getting more accurate result, and this geometry method can help in advancing the accuracy of modeling and getting better result in application.
