Abstract: The pure spherical CaCO3 powders have been prepared by decomposition of chelates. The experimental results show that the spherical CaCO3 powders were obtained when the ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(H 4edta)as chelating agent was applied and it concentration was suitable. The large increase in partical size occurs as ageing at higher temperature.
