    The crystal structure of molybdenum complex of fullereneMo(η2-C60)(CO)2(phen)(dbm)(phen=1, 10-phenanthroline, dbm=dibutyl maleate)has been established. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a=2.5318(5)nm, b=2.7257(5)nm, c=1.4577(3)nm, V=10.059(3)nm3, Z=8 and R1=0.0908. In the molecule the coordination geometry of Mo atom is a distorted octahedron with the two CO groups and phen in the equatorial plane and the Mo atom binds in an η2 fashion to C-C bonds of C60 and dbm. The crystal is stable in the air due to nonexistence of solvent molecules in the cell.

    Ternary system of Morin-Al(Ⅲ)-Nucleic acids was studied by spectrophotometry. At pH 3.25 Britton-Robinson medium, morin has the absorption peaks at 250, 300 and 350nm. When Al3+ was added, the absorption of morin at 350nm decreased and a new absorption peak at 419nm appeared. Adding of nucleic acids to the morin-Al(Ⅲ) binary system leads to decrease of the absorption at 350nm and great increase at 419nm. There is an isochromatic point at 370nm. The increase of absorbance at 419nm is proportional to the amount of nucleic acids added within certain concentration range. Based on this, a new sensitive nucleic acids analysis method is established. The linear ranges of ct DNA, fs DNA and y RNA are 0.71~35.4,0.64~25.6 and 0.94~28.4μg/mL, respectively.

    The psaC Gene of Synechococcus sp. PCC 7002 encodes the FA/FB aprotein of photosystem I, a protein with a molecular weight of 8.9 kD containing two 4Fe-4S centers. The expression vector of psaC gene was constructed, and transformed into Saccharoromyces cerevisiae.Southern blotting confirmed that psaC gene had been successfully transformed and Tris-Tricine-PAGE revealed that psaC gene had been highly expressed after incubating the transformed strains in the inducing culture.

    Jiangbi Industry Park is lined out from Jiangbian village and Bitou village, there have been some metals machining, plating factories since 1997. To find out the present environmental condition of water area around Jiangbi Industry Park and then to assess the impact to water area from the industry park, we sampled and analyzed the water, sediments and fished inside Jiangbi industry park and in Yangchong river, Maozhou river, Dongbao river and Pearl river mouth. The result indicates that the water area around Jiangbi Industry Park was severely polluted by heavy metals. The local government must think much of environmental pollution, strengthen environmental management, execute the law strictly, and control the development.

    The fine structure of MTOC and the reservoir and canal in Euglena gracilis were examined with electron microscopy. The results showed that 1) the basal body took effect of the MTOC in E.Gracilis; 2) microtubules sent out from the outer domain of the basal body in rows were added to 40 pairs step by step through the reservoir; 3) the Microtubule supporting layer then formed surrounding the canal; 4) the structure unit of two microtubule turned to be the ridge and groove structure in epiplasm.

    G-group is a multi-male group located in Luobai, south of China. Ethogram of social behaviors including sexual behavior, affinitive behavior and aggressive behavior, is presented with descriptions of social context and social function. Episodes of supplanting and submissive interactions were recorded to determine dominance relations among G-group members. Three males, including two adult male and one sub adult male, are the most dominant ones in G-group with a linear dominance among themselves. However, dominance relations among females and other males are more complex and poorly differentiated. The cluster analysis of index of Familiarity between G-group members shows that: index of familiarity between females are the highest, two dominant adult males form coalition, and relations among non-adult males are closer than with other members. Females in G-group are roomers in about 70.7% of the total bouts and groom others more than expected by chance. Instead, non-adult males are in general groomed. The bouts they groom others are about 2.8% of total bouts, but they receive grooming in about 33.1% of the total bouts. The biased grooming between adult males and females consist with the hierarchy. There is apparent difference between social behaviors of two sexes. Intergroup antagonism is entirely male's affair, and they protect the safety of group and territories actively. These behavior primarily serve the function of defend females just as the Mate defense hypothesis.

    The recombinant PCR technic was used to introduce a linking peptide (KLGGGG) to the site between scFv (single chain form of the monoclonal antibody SZ-51 specific for the glycoprotein GMP140 on activated platelet membrane) and UK32 (low molecular weight form of pro-urokinase), to make the scFv-linker-UK32 chimeric gene. This gene was cloned into the transfer vector pBacPAK9, and cotransfected with BacPAK6/Bsu36I digest into Sf 9 cells. The fusion protein was secreted into the medium. In the fifth day after the cotransfection, the supernatant of the medium showed 107 IU/mL fibrinolytic activity, higher than 25 IU/mL fibrinolytic activity of scFv-UK32. ELISA showed that the supernatant had the binding activity to activated platelet. Wastern Blotting also indicated that the supernatant could bind to the monoclonal antibody of urokinase B chain.

    Anti-IF-protein antibodies were used as probes for immuno-fluorescence, and the reactions of them with different parts of the cell were detected, which suggested the possibility of the existence of the intermediate-like filaments in the cytoplasm. Those proteins homologous to the antibodies distributed regularly in the protoplasm. To characterize the corresponding proteins, SDS-PAGE and immunoblots were utilized. The 21, 23, 33 and 68kD proteins were distinguished among the diverse protein constituents of the cell. Some of these proteins also showed the cross-reactivities with anti-IF-proteins antibodies derived from higher organisms. These two evidences both contributed to the homology of some proteins in Paramecium to the intermediate filament proteins in higher organisms.
    A Study of Multifractal Measures of the Spatial Structure of the Urban System in Central Plains

    The study is made of the spatial structure of the systems of cities and towns in Central Plains, mainly including North Henan, China, using the theory of multifractals. By means of the box counting method and μ-weight formulae, we calculate the values of the Lipschitz-Hölder exponent α(q), the fractal dimension of the support of singularities f(α), the sequence of mass exponent τ(q), and the dimensions of fractal measures Dq of the urban systems in the studied area. The resultant values show that there is a scaling breakdown in the f(α) curve as well as the spectrum of fractal dimensions Dq when the moment order q≈-1, where qc=-1 perhaps is a critical value for q, i.e., the multifractals come on well when q∈[0, ∞], as for q≤-1, the multifractal measures are abnormal (dysplasia or hypolasia): the f(α) curve and the Dq function cannot converge, which maybe implies a sort of phase transition from a rural to urban settlement system during the course of regional urbanization. This research demonstrates that the spatial structure of urban systems can be characterized with multifractal geometry, and moreover, wavelet transformation can be used to analyse the multifractal structure of urban systems.

    The model of allometric growth relationships between urban area and population, A=aPb, can be rewrited as A(t)=a1P(t)b1 for cities as systems, or as A(k)=a2P(k)b2for systems of cities, where A is the land area, P is the population size, a is the proportionality coefficient, b is the scaling factor, t is the time (year), and k is the rank of city k. It was proved that the parameter b has fractal dimension nature and can be expressed as b=Da/Dp, where Da is the generalized dimension of urban area,and Dp,the dimension of urban population. With fractal theory related the hierarchical structure of urban systems and the dynamics of urbanization can be analysed. On the other hand,by defining As=∑A(k),Ps=∑P(k), it is easy to have a new model As(t)=a3Ps(t)b3, so once obtaining RS data of A(k), the value of Ps in year t can be calculated. Going a step further, it is possible to analyse cities and systems of cities and predict the course of regional urbanization by means of integrating the allometric growth models and the RS data into geographical information systems. Allometric analyses of the urban system of Henan, China, are made as examples to show how to use the models advanced in the paper.

    Design pattern describes a problem which occurs once and again during the process of software development, and then describes the solution to that problem. Design pattern brings convenience to software reuse. In GIS software development, design pattern can be applied to improve the quality of software. In addition to that, design pattern also establishes a bridge between GIS research and software development. A software design pattern, filter and refine, which is widely used in spatial database design to improve the efficiency of spatial retrieval, was brought forward in this article. The pattern was described formally in detail, including its intent, motivation, applicability, structure and consequences, etc. Then a test is implemented to explain the consequences of the pattern.

    The impact of deeplying cohesive soil on subsidence in Tianjin is presented in this paper. Based on the analysis of the consolidation law of deeplying cohesive soil, the pore configuration, and the movement of pore water, the mechanism of the consolidation of hard cohesive soil is discussed. Finally, the consolidation parameters, resulting from consolidation cycles, are applied in the calculation of settling volume and the degree of forecast accuracy is satisfactory.

    The structures of perovskites in the system CaTiO3-SrTiO3 were measured and refined at room temperature by X-ray powder diffraction. The sequence of phase transitions for Ca1-xSrxTiO3(0≤x≤1), found with increasing Sr content, is orthorhombic Pbnm, orthorhombic Bmmb, tetragonal I4/mcm and cubic Pm3m. The boundaries of phase transitions are at x=0.45(5)for Pbnm-Bmmb, x=0.65(5) for Bmmb-I4/mcm and x=0.92(2) for Pm3m, respectively.

    Fouriertransformation infro-red microspectroscopy Micro-FTIR technique was used to investigate the chemical compositions and structures of cutinite,vitrinite and fusinite from Jurassic coals in Tarim basin at different temperatures. The results show that the chemical structure of cutinite is mainly composed of long aliphatic-side chain with minor amounts of aromatic compounds. Vitrinite is mostly composed of aromatic compounds, in addition to large amount of short aliphatic-side chain compounds. Whereas fusinite are dominant by aromatic structure. The study indicates that cutinite is one of the best oil source-rocks, with the higher hydrocarbon-generation potential; vitrinite is one of better gas source-rocks, and has medium hydrocarbon-generating potential; fusinite has little hydrocarbon-generating potential. In addition, the components of aliphatic structures of cutinite, vitrinite and fusinite decrease, the aromatics are enriched and condensation of aromatic structure increases with increasing the temperature, and along with the rise of temperatures, the intensity of aliphatic structure and heteroatomic compounds decrease obviously, however the aromatic structure changes a little.

    Based on the analysis of distribution of upper Jurassic and lower Cretaceous strata and basin-controlled faults, Tanlu fault zone strike slip to develop the three NW-trending grabens from north to south western to Tanlu fault zone in late Jurassic and early Cretaceous, which are Bohai graben, Jiyang graben and Luxinan graben. Based on the analysis of regional geology, the basic tectonic pattern of Bohai basin is the Cenozoic basin pattern since early Paleogene. The outline, structure, deposit characteristics and heat flow distributions show that the basin is pull-apart basin in Cenozoic time. The tectonic evolution pattern can be reconstructed based on the analysis of Cenozoic strata, deposit thickness, location and activity of basin-controlled faults in the different depresses in Bohai basin. The characteristics of structure and depositment in this Mesozoic and Cenozoic time show that Bohai basin is a Mesozoic and Cenozoic composite basin.

    In order to understand the general relationship between optimism and risk-taking tendency, this study designs several independent situations and produces two kinds of variables: one to measure the general characteristics of optimistic attitude, the other to test if there is any consistency in the risk-taking tendency of an individual regardless of varying situations. The results show that there is some correlation between an individual's optimism and risk-taking tendency. Concerning such measuring indexes as risk-taking tendency, perception of risky situations and evaluation of risk-takers, highly optimistic group and lowly optimistic one display significant differences. Moreover, the varied measuring instruments used in this study produce highly consistent results, which speak for the reliability of this study.

    There are two ophiolite belts, Armantai and Kelamaili ophiolite belts, in northeastern border of the Junggar basin, Xinjiang. Ages of the ophiolite and geological time of their emplacement of these two ophiolite belts are still not clear though many research works have be done since 1981. According to new data of isotopic age determination, microfossils in the ophiolite suite and regional tectonic analysis, this paper get following new knowledge: geologic time of development of these two palaeo-oceans representing by two ophiolite belts were close, and it might be from late Neo-proterozoic to early Silurian. The nascent oceans were formed in late Neo-proterozoic. The oceans were in a period of great prosperity from Cambrian to early-middle Ordovician. And they were withered and closed from late Ordovician to early Silurian. This new knowledge is important to reconstruction of Palaeo-Asian Ocean and understand continental crust evolution of Northern Xinjiang.
