    Consider the exponential population... where θ>0 is an unknown parameter. In this paper the MLE of θ, say from randomly censored data is proved to be asymptomic minimax efficiency. That is, for a certain loss function w(.), and I(θ) is the information function of the censored observations.     Unlike the literature.this paper mainly discusses the characteristics of the portfolio which isn't on the portfolio frontier. A more general concept—q-zero-covariance portfolio frontier is proposed, and its geometric configuration is depicted in the σ2(r)—Er] space. The usual zero covariance portfolio of the frontier portfolio is its degenerate case, and the portfolio frontier is the envelope of our q-zero-covariance portfolio frontier as q moves.

    In this paper, we pointed out that the Ruspini's definition of fuzzy partition has a shortcoming, which does not always coincide with our intuition. So we proposed a new definition for fuzzy partition and proved the new definition of fuzzy partition has a desired property consistent with our intuition and applications of fuzzy partition (e.g., fuzzy decision making, fuzzy clustering, fuzzy control, etc.). It can follow Ruspini's definition of fuzzy partition, which are cited frequently in current papers. According to the new definition of fuzzy partition, we defined the relative clearness of fuzzy sets and the mean clearness of fuzzy partition. The latter is proved effective for evaluating the performance of FCM algorithm by the experiments.

    The experimental results on transmission spectrum in metal ion doped TiO2 nanoclusters at room temperature are reported. It is found that the transmission in the metal ion doped TiO2 nanoclusters are decreased significantly. The transmission change as increasing wavelength nonlinearly varied and there is a maximum in the transmission change curve in metal ion doped TiO2 nanoclusters.

    The application of the B-spline wavelet analysis method to series of climate and external forcing factors is introduced. Using lag-correlation analysis method, interpretative variances analysis method, phrase comparing method to the wavelet analysis result, we not only gained the variation at different scales of the global temperature and El Nino signals, the location of the jump points and latent scale of these series, but also indicated the magnitude, extent of the effect of external forcing factors on them.

    A new way is supplied to increase the recognition rate of Chinese speech in noise. It includes two parts. One is using the autocorrelation function to detect the speech terminal, the other is using the coefficients based on the one-sided autocorrelation sequence to replace the original speech signal and then extract the speech feature to recognize. Isolated word recognition experiment based on DTW shows: it can reduce the disturbance of noise effectively and get the high recognition rate. It is of great advantage to apply when SNR (signal to noise rate) is low.

    There are two series of Cu, Au deposits,the stratiformed deposits and the intrusive-related ones in the mineralization belt of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River area. Comparative studies on forming geodynamic backgrounds, geological and geochemical conditions of the ore-forming systems have been undertaken in this paper. The stratiformed deposits were formed in Hercynian period by submarine exhalation-sedimentation (SEDEX) of hot brine through the synchronous basement faults in a tensional environmental, and the intrusive-related deposits were formed in Yenshanian in a tensional or a transitional period to tensional environment during the upper mantle doming by water-rock interaction and complex transport-chemical reaction dynamic processes, the ore-forming fluids were mainly magmatic water from melt-fluid partition and some meteoric water.

    In the lake-face strata located in the lower reach of the Qingshuihe River, Ningxia with the latitude of 37.4° N and the elevation about 1230m, involution dated in late period of late Quaternary was discovered, which indicates that the south limit of permafrost had once expanded approximately to the latitude of 37.4° N in that time in Ningxia and that the annual mean temperature was 8~9℃ lower than today. Because the intensive tectonic uplift in the northeast margin of Tibetan Plateau and cold and dry weather in the last glacial maximum, the Qingshuihe River was so blocked that along the margin of the blocked-lake the involution was developed.

    Tianjin is located at north part of northern China plain, where is rich in thermal water in sedimentary basin. The main reservoir is carbonate rocks of the Paleozoic and upper and middle Proterozoic group, which contain thermal waters with temperature of more than 90℃. The cap rock is Cenozoic sedimentary rocks with thickness of more than 1000m, which contains thermal water with temperature from 25 to 70℃ in 13 sandstone layers. The temperature of thermal water is steady growth along with the deepen of basin. All thermal waters in different aquifers are medical mineral waters, which is conducive to good health.

    Many factors can affect physiopsychological changes of aging, in which personality and social psychological factors are most important ones. Three models will be used to explain the relationship between personality and physical disease, and a serial of studies confirms of this. Hostility、emotional suppression and neuroticism all have close linkages to cancer and heart disease. By ways of socio-economic status、social support and behavioral style, social psychological factors cast influence on health of senior too. All those factors were integrated by an ecological approach. Those analyses are important to further aging researches.

    The Present experiments have studied the influences of signaled shock on lymphoid tissue in mice, Male and female Swiss and Balb/c mice of various ages were stressed by signaled shock for 7 days (24 min per session). The animals were then killed for determination of total body weight and the weights of the thymus, spleen and axillary lymph nodes. In addition, the total number of cells in the thymus and the proportion of lymphoid cells in the bone marrow cell population was defined. The results show that stress-induced involution of the thymus was generally more pronounced in older animals, while for the spleen was the opposite. Involution of the thymus was higher in males than in females, but there were no-marked differences between the sexes in the response of the spleen. In general Swiss mice was more sensitive to stress than Balb/c mice. However, for the involution induced by stress on lymph nodes there were not a clear trend with age, sex or strain. In male and female mice of all ages and both strains, stress led to statistically significant reductions in the absolute of cells inside the thymus and spleen and in the proportion of lymphoid cells in the bone marrow.

    Using the Pennsylvania State University/NCAR mesoscale model (MM5), a 36h simulation of the heavy rainfall process in Hubei province on July 20, 1998 is conducted. The simulation reproduced the evolution of meso-β-scale convective systems which were responsible for the heavy rainfall quite well. And the MCSs' visual images produced by the visualization software LiveView can reveal the life cycle, the features of water materials' distribution and 3-d stream structure of MCS.

    The knowledge representation is a key aspect in the computer Intelligent Tutor System(ITS), which determines the effect of the inference process. Moreover, it is necessity of the combination of the knowledge base with the teaching material base in ITS because it contains a lot of multimedia data. In this paper, a discussion of construction of the knowledge base by the relational model(RM) is presented. We analyze the knowledge into groups, each one called a knowledge point. Then, use RM to organize the knowledge points to form two databases;one is called the attribute database, and the other called linkage database. The attribute database gives each knowledge point attributes and a link to the teaching material base, while the linkage database describes the relation among knowledge points. This linkage database is suitable for ratiocination. In order to build the systematic teaching courses, we construct a strategy database. As an example, we discuss the knowledge representation of the cone section in the mechanical drawing class.

    This paper presents a new method for speech recognition in stationary noise. By using the LPC coefficients of noise to predict all the speech signal, the method gets the LPC prediction error(LPCPE) sequence. Then use it to substitute the speech sequence to detect the speech terminal、extract the speech features and to recognize in a suitable way. Isolated words recognition experiment based on DTW shows: this method is o.k. in automatic detection of speech terminal and extraction of speech feature;and achieves very satisfying recognition rate.
