Abstract: The evolution of pests' resistance against transgenic plants with foreign toxic genes was simulated quantitatively by means of Artificial Life (AL). The results indicated that the pests became transgenic- plant-resistant in a pretty short time if just one toxic gene was transferred into the plants, and that the evolution rate was quite lower, sometimes was zero, if 3 or more toxic genes were transferred. Therefore, multi-toxic-gene transferred into, and expressing in the plants was beneficial for preventing or delaying the pasts becoming transgenic-plant-resistant.
