Abstract: Digital Earth shows great prospects for next generation of Global Information Infrastructure, and the research on geospatial information sharing and interoperation is becoming the frontier of key technology of Digital Earth construction. Based on the OpenGIS standard and the XML standard, Geospatial Object Markup Language-GeoML, which can be used to transmit, display, sharing and interoperation the electronic map on Internet, has been proposed for the first time in this paper. The content of GeoML standard has been detailed, also the prototype system used for testing the standard has been designed and implemented, and the demo is presented. The result shows that publishing, sharing and interoperation of geospatial information on Internet/Intranet have been come into true.

摘要： 数字地球为信息社会的未来发展展示了美好前景，而研究地理空间信息共享与互操作正在成为数字地球建设关键技术的前沿。作者基于OpenGIS规范和XML标准，首次提出基于Internet的地理空间信息标志语言--GeoML来实现地理空间信息共享和互操作，研究并设计了可在Internet上传输、显示和共享电子地图的GeoML标准规范内容，并设计实现了检验该标准规范的原型系统，给出了示范。检验证明，利用该标准规范可初步达到地理空间信息在Internet/Intranet上的发布、共享和互操作。
