Diffusional Release of Drug from Polymeric Matrix: An Approximate Analytical Solution

Abstract: A variable eigenvalue method has been successfully applied to moving boundary problems encountered in the diffusional release of drug from polymeric matrix. An approximate analytical solution was obtained. The computed result showed that the zeroth order solution of drug release from planar polymeric matrix was sufficiently accurate for engineering application. This investigation provided a new theoretical tool to study the diffusional release of drug from polymeric matrix.

摘要: 利用特征值变易法,得到了药物从高聚物基体内释放的可动边界问题的近似解析解。计算结果表明零级近似解析解与药物从片形高聚物基体内释放的可动边界问题的精确解的误差已在工程要求范围之内,结果令人满意,这为进一步研究药物从高聚物基体内的释放问题提供了新的理论工具。
