The Microtubule Organization Center (MTOC) and the Construction of Microtubule System in Euglena gracilis

小眼虫(Euglena gracilis)中微管组织中心与微管体系的构建

Abstract: The fine structure of MTOC and the reservoir and canal in Euglena gracilis were examined with electron microscopy. The results showed that 1) the basal body took effect of the MTOC in E.Gracilis; 2) microtubules sent out from the outer domain of the basal body in rows were added to 40 pairs step by step through the reservoir; 3) the Microtubule supporting layer then formed surrounding the canal; 4) the structure unit of two microtubule turned to be the ridge and groove structure in epiplasm.

摘要: 利用电镜观察小眼虫(Euglena gracilis)微管组织中心和口咽部位的精细结构。发现小眼虫微管体系是以鞭毛根为微管组织中心,从微管组织中心(Microtubule organizing center, MTOC)的外围区域呈排状向上发出,逐步添加微管至40对止,并通过储蓄泡逐步形成环绕沟道(Canal)的微管支撑层。支撑层两根一组的微管单位向外延伸形成细胞表面的沟嵴结构。
