Abstract: The pure spherical CaCO₃ powders have been prepared by decomposition of chelates. The experimental results show that the spherical CaCO₃ powders were obtained when the ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(H ₄edta)as chelating agent was applied and it concentration was suitable. The large increase in partical size occurs as ageing at higher temperature.
