With the first edition published in December of 1955,Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis (ASNUP)is one of the comprehensive academic publications covering both natural science and technical science. It mainly publishes the original researching articles and summarized papers in the fields of foundation science, technical science and frontier science offered by professors, researchers, graduate students and alumni of Peking University.

Composed of 30 professors from 18 colleges, departments and institutes of natural science in Peking University, the Editorial Committee of ASNUP, following the aim of ASNUP, takes charge of examining, choosing the articles and papers to be published. For the moment, Prof. Chao Kuangta (Academician) is the Chairman of Committee, and Prof. Wen Lan (Academician), Prof. Zhang Lihe (Academician), Prof. Tu Chuanyi (Academician), Prof. Zhu Shenggeng, Prof. Zhao Xinsheng, Prof. Xiang Haige and Prof. Hao Shougang are vice-Chairmen.

ASNUP collected the abstracts of all papers published in ASNUP since 1995 (Volume 31). In ASNUP, to each abstract are added the received date (R.D.), the published date (P.D.), volume number, issue number, author's mailing address, among some of them the E-mail address are offered as well.
